The Meydan racecourse saw five group races on Super Saturday, two of which were Gr.1 classified. The Jebel Hatta Stakes, the richest race of the day on turf, was won by the five-year-old Decorated Knight, a horse of an excellent pedigree, by Galileo out of Storm Cat’s daughter Pearling, the full sister to the excellent Giant’s Causeway or the Gr.2 winner You’resothrilling, the dam of Gleneagles.
The Meydan triumph made Decorated Knight the sixth Gr.1 winner by Galileo out of a dam by Storm Cat. It is worth mentioning that half of them were produced by a single family, the one of Mariah’s Storm, the dam of Giant’s Causeway and both broodmares mentioned above. Galileo produced a total of twelve black-type horses with Storm Cat’s daughters, of whom ten were black-type winners. These ten winners represent 4.31% of all black-type winners by Galileo and the combination with Storm Cat daughters is the fourth most successful combination of Galileo by the number of black-type winners.
All these data, together with the list of all black-type horses of the combination mentioned, you can find easily and transparently under Decorated Knight’s pedigree on our server. They are freely accessible to every user and besides a list of horses produced by the same combination, you will find, for each horse, the sex, year of foaling and the biggest achievement in their racing career.
Welcome to a new service brought by Blacktypepedigree, which provides every visitor with an opportunity to get information on the success rate of individual sire x damsire combination. Let us just add that all data are generated by our database which includes black-type results for the last fifteen years, i.e. since 2002, thus including data of nearly all current stallions. Older data will be filled on the go.
For registered users, we have expanded the service even more. In the case of the above mentioned connection Galileo x Storm Cat you will find not just the data for Galileo with the daughters of Storm Cat, but also the data and statistics of more close connections – that of Galileo with the granddaughters of Storm Cat, Galileo with the daughters of Storm Cat’s sire Storm Bird and Galileo with the granddaughters of Storm Bird excluding the Storm Cat’s daughters. The service will automatically submit data and statistics of the connection between Galileo’s sire Sadler’s Wells with the daughters of Storm Cat and sons of Sadler’s Wellse (except Galileo) with the daughters of Storm Cat.
We hope our new service is of benefit to you!
